Fashion Christmas Party
This week the members of the fashion club held their annual Christmas party! The party was a huge success full of games, food, drinks, and of course the rights to the "ugliest sweater!"
Chick-a-Dee Chic
During the November fashion club meeting Corrine Vitalli, owner of Chick-a-Dee Chic spoke to the fashion club about her experience of being a local business owner. Corrine, along with her mother host in-home jewlery parties.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
On Saturday, October 1, 2011 several member of the Mercyhurst fashion club braved the weather and participated in a Breast Cancer Awareness walk. The event was held in downtown Erie. A special thanks to all who participated.
Senior Tea
Each spring the fashion department hosts a senior "tea” to celebrate and bid farewell to our graduating seniors. This year's theme Cinco de Mayo offered a fun and festive end to many years of hard work! The evening was celebrated with all things Mexican from the delicious themed food to the hula hooping contest while wearing Sombreros! Everyone had a wonderful evening and we wish the best of luck to our graduating seniors!
Mercyhurst Fashion Club
Students in the fashion merchandising program at Mercyhurst have the opportunity to learn more about fashion and interact with their peers and faculty outside the classroom through the Fashion Club. The club hosts guest speakers from the fashion industry, as well as service hour opportunities for students. Club members make items to help defray the costs of trips to New York City, and also distributes newsletter that circulates to graduates, companies and prospective students. The May club meeting consists of the "Senior Tea," which celebrates graduating seniors.
And the winner is...
Each year students in the fashion club create an apparel garment as a way to show off their school spirit and raise money to support fashion club activities. This Spring the winning design came from fashion student Angelina Viveralli with her Victoria Secret PINK inspired baseball tee. The shirt is being sold for $15 and the monies raised will help to support fashion club events! Congratulations Angelina on your winning design.

On December 14, 2010 the Fashion club held its annual "ugly sweater" Christmas party. Club members enjoyed an evening of games, snacks, and showing off their "ugliest" Christmas attire. Check out the pictures below of the fun and festivities!
Fashion club helps with Christmas on Campus
Several fashion club members joined hundreds of Mercyhurst College students, faculty, and administration to make Christmas a little brighter for a number of local children. The college's annual Christmas on campus event took place on Saturday, December 12.
